Offshore Medical Billing Company

The number one priority will always remain the same regardless of the industry you serve, i.e., customers. Different terms can be used to represent them, but their position always stays at the top as patients in the case of medical institutions or hospitals.

But simultaneously, the healthcare providers are not only confined to this responsibility. There is much more to it, such as medical billing and coding tasks. Medical billing entails back-end tasks such as managing medical bill errors, improving cash flows, etc.

All this consumes time, effort, and resources, diverting the attention of healthcare providers away from patient care and concern.

InfoHub Consultancy supports medical billing, coding, and revenue-cycle workflows for U.S. healthcare providers. Discuss your needs and proposed scope with our team.

Offshore billing support can add capacity for defined administrative tasks. The benefit depends on the work assigned, the team’s capabilities and the practice’s oversight.

Compare the proposed workflow and total cost with your current approach before choosing a partner.

Outsourcing also requires training, access management, quality review and clear escalation responsibilities. It does not guarantee savings or better collections.

Let us walk you through the benefits of outsourcing offshore medical billing companies:

When evaluating an offshore medical billing company, ask how its people, tools and reporting would support your existing workflow. Confirm the available capabilities rather than assuming every vendor provides the same technology.

1. Automation of Workflows

Ask which repetitive steps can be supported in your approved systems, such as work-queue assignment or claim-status tracking. Define exception handling and human review before introducing automation, and measure rework as well as time spent.

2. Gaining Access to New Technology

Check compatibility with your practice management or EHR system, licensing costs, approved access and implementation responsibilities. Request a demonstration of the proposed workflow; outsourcing does not automatically include new software, real-time reporting or integration with every platform.

3. Revenue Cycle Reporting Tools

Agree on reporting definitions and data sources for revenue cycle management. Useful measures may include claim rejections, denial categories, A/R aging and collection trends. Review comparable periods and separate payer mix, volume and practice changes from the billing team’s work.

A. Compare Fees and Scope

Ask whether the proposal uses a percentage of collections, a fixed fee or dedicated staffing charges, and which tasks each fee covers.

Compare total cost, included work, exclusions, minimum charges and any setup or transition fees. For a percentage arrangement, clarify the collections used to calculate the fee and how refunds or adjustments are handled. A fee tied to collections does not guarantee a financial result.

Put staffing, reporting, quality checks, escalation and exit responsibilities in writing. Evaluate the arrangement against agreed measures rather than assuming one pricing model is always more efficient.

B. Protecting Patient Data

Outsourcing is not inherently more secure. Review how the proposed team would access and handle patient information before granting access.

HHS identifies billing services involving protected health information as a potential business associate relationship. Where applicable, establish the required business associate agreement and review permitted uses, safeguards and downstream subcontractor obligations.

Ask for evidence of the safeguards relevant to your workflow, including role-based access, authentication, access logs, workforce training, incident reporting and access removal. Review where information is accessed or stored and who is responsible for investigating an incident.

No vendor can guarantee that a breach will never occur. HHS notes that overseas ePHI services can introduce additional risks that should be considered in risk analysis and safeguards. A contract or security claim alone is not evidence that every control is operating effectively.

C. Support Accurate, Documented Coding

Codes should reflect the services provided and the supporting documentation, with applicable payer and coding requirements checked. Selecting a higher code to increase payment, or a lower code to avoid scrutiny, is not an appropriate goal.

The HHS OIG guidance on physician billing and documentation explains the risks of unsupported claims and upcoding. A billing partner should route documentation questions to the responsible clinician and follow an agreed review process.

Ask how coding qualifications, payer updates, claim edits, quality sampling and corrections will be handled for your specialty. Clarify the practice’s responsibilities and how disputed or unclear items are escalated.

These checks support billing accuracy. Outsourcing does not guarantee reimbursement, compliance or avoidance of an audit.

Info Hub Consultancy Services (ICS) – Your Offshore Medical Billing Company

Discuss your medical billing, coding or accounts receivable needs with ICS and confirm the proposed scope, systems access and reporting responsibilities.

For practices evaluating assigned billing capacity, explore our dedicated medical billing staffing options. Review roles, workload, US-hours overlap, backup coverage and escalation responsibilities when defining a staffing plan.

Use the following workflow areas to discuss your requirements with ICS. Confirm which tasks are included in the written proposal and who retains approval responsibility:

  • Practice management/EHR workflow coordination within approved access
  • Pre-Authorization, Scheduling, and Eligibility Verification
  • Registration of Patients
  • Coding for Medical Records
  • Submission of Claims – Rejection and Work Edits
  • Denial Management and Accounts Receivable (A/R)
  • Credit Balance Management and Resolution
  • Customer/Patient Access Solutions for Patient Support

Discuss handoffs from credentialing and enrollment to billing and collections. Define how the billing team will coordinate with your onshore staff and clinicians, and how questions about documentation, denials or payment discrepancies will be resolved.
